Here at Falmouth Country Club, we continue to closely monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidance related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). As always, the health and safety of our associates, members, guests, and vendors who visit our facility are our highest priority. We encourage everyone to remain measured in their response to the situation and follow the direction of the relevant federal, state, and local health authorities and medical professionals.
Our facility leaders are actively managing the unique circumstances in each of their respective departments and have our full support. We take standards for cleanliness and hygiene very seriously and ask everyone to remain vigilant in taking additional steps to reduce the risk of exposure to our associates, members, guests and all who visit out facilities. Our facilities are working every day to ensure they meet the latest guidance on cleaning and hygiene.
Certain aspects of the club have been closed temporarily to conform with State directives. As an example, our bar and restaurant have been closed to on-premise use. We are still providing take out.
Because we all know the importance of healthy outside activity, our golf course is open to members with proper social distancing and strict guidelines on usage. For example:
• there are no rakes in the bunkers on the golf course
• flags are set up so that no one needs to touch them
• there are no water coolers on the course
• there are no ball washers on the course
• Golf Carts are currently not in use, but when available for those who need them, they will be cleaned and sanitized between users and only one person will be allowed per cart.
Basically, we have worked to eliminate all central touch points.
We continue to monitor www.coronavirus.gov and take our guidance from the relevant federal, state, and local health authorities and medical professionals. This is a fluid situation and we appreciate the collective efforts of our associates, members, and guests. We remain positive and hopeful as to the ultimate outcome of this situation, and recognize it will take time to resolve itself. We will continue to evaluate and adjust our approach in accordance with direction from the relevant authorities.
