THE OPPORTUNITY
Build a Café Program Worth Being Proud Of
Fox & Birdie Café is hiring two Program Leads — one with a primary focus on espresso and coffee, and one with a primary focus on food, smoothies, and fresh programs. Together, you'll own the quality, systems, and creative direction of a café that's being built to stand out.
This is for career-minded professionals who want to grow a program. Pastry, bread, and farm-to-table experience will be put to real use as the café evolves.
IMPORTANT
Two Leads, One Team
Both Program Leads must master both sides of the café — espresso beverages and quick, fresh food execution. Each will own their primary side while covering the other during solo or lean-staff shifts. The Café Manager coordinates daily operations.
THE ROLES
What You'll Own
- Coffee Lead: Espresso quality, daily dial-in, extraction, team training, seasonal beverage features.
- Food & Fresh Lead: Fast café food, smoothies, juices, prep systems, pastry & bread.
- Both: Seasonal specials, team coaching, and confident coverage of the other side when needed.
SKILLS
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years relevant experience (barista or kitchen/café)
- Ability to lead, train, and hold standards
- Cross-capable on both sides of the café
- Stand 8+ hrs, lift/carry 40+ lbs.
- Fluent English — read, write & speak
- Professional attitude under pressure
- Latte art or beverage menu development
- Pastry and bread production
- Smoothie/juice bar or breakfast line
- Equipment maintenance experience
- ServSafe / Food Handlers Certification
- Farm-to-table or seasonal sourcing
- Management experience
